Welcome to the official online application form for the ICNC online course Movements and Power: Civil Resistance in the 21st Century (Winter 2025).
ICNC's online moderated course will take place from February 24 through March 23. This interactive online course will provide an advanced, in-depth, and multi-disciplinary perspective on civil resistance movements and campaigns that defend and obtain basic rights and justice around the world with the use of civil resistance tactics and strategies. On average, 50 participants will be admitted to the course based on the strength of their applications, relevance of the subject to their study or work, their motivation, and their commitment to staying engaged in the online work throughout the duration of this course. The course will feature moderated discussion forums with ICNC staffers and select alumni of this program. The course will officially begin with a live orientation webinar offered at two times on February 24 (9 AM and 4 PM EST / 14:00 and 21:00 UTC).
Participants are expected to commit to a minimum of about 5 hours per week for reviewing assigned materials, reading, writing posts, and dialoguing with other participants' posts and comments.
The application deadline is end of day Sunday, February 16. In the application, we ask for your contact and biographical information, your resume or CV, and brief answers to five questions.
